The following objectives will provide the focus for the college’s development activities: 

    1. 教师 and staff are encouraged to participate in those development activities that will renew their enthusiasm, vitality, and spirit of inquiry. 
    2. 教师 and staff 成员s bear the primary responsibility for their own development. This includes completing the requirements for the appropriate graduate degree in their 学科. 

Beyond this point, continued development is accomplished through a partnership between the individual faculty or staff 成员 and 十大正规网赌平台. 学院 will give priority to supporting those development activities that most directly enhance its ability to deliver educational 程序s appropriate to the needs of its service area and to its status as an access institution. 

学院 will support development efforts through state 资金 and through internal and external grant funds to support development. 此外,学院将提供协助 faculty and staff in taking advantage of the University System’s 程序s for tuition 减免及发还款项.

    5. Completing course work that enhances the preparation of faculty 成员s to perform their duties, but cannot be funded through the tuition 减免及发还款项 程序. 
    6. Pursuing additional degrees if this 活动 can be shown to contribute to the college’s ability to respond to the needs of the comm单位ies it serves, but cannot be funded through the tuition 减免及发还款项 程序. 

Each 单位 as part of the annual budget request and approval process will request professional 为他们的单位提供发展资金. 教师 and staff may be asked to assist in the development of request for professional development 资金. 

教师 and staff should submit their applications for professional development 资金 给他们单位的主管. Each 单位 will develop a process to screen requests 为资金. This may involve a peer review committee and/or input from outside the 单位. The result of the review process may include full, partial, or no development 资金. At the completion of the 单位 review process, the 单位 head will review the request to determine if 资金 is available and make final determination 为资金 该活动.
